'Litløy fyr'

Littleisland Lighthouse is called "Litløy fyr" in Norwegian, which literally means little island lighthouse. The island got this name because it is characteristically smaller than the neighbouring island.

Experience a real adventure at Littleisland Lighthouse

Here, life is wonderfully challenging. The site of this lighthouse forces us to take certain practical measures according to the circumstances, like weather, wind and 300 stair steps. The natural environment inspires you to take deep breaths and enjoy a slower pace of life.

A lot is put in place to give you the opportunity to visit this distinctive lighthouse. We constantly work to find good solutions for practical challenges linked to water and energy, to mention a few. It is definitely worth the effort when you’re here as a guest, sharing the moments with us.

Dreams are gradually turning into reality

A lot is put in place to give you the opportunity to visit this distinctive lighthouse. We constantly work to find good solutions for practical challenges linked to water and energy, to mention a few. It is definitely worth the effort when you’re here as a guest, sharing the moments with us. We are underway, but some dreams can already be enjoyed at Littleisland Lighthouse. Read more about the implementation of an environmental friendly energy solution. We are also proud to use an ecological vegetable garden, an herb land and our berry bushes. We still have a few projects we are working on turning into reality so that as many possible can come and enjoy this magical place, be it on day visits or overnight stays. See prospect here
